After Jesus left earth and went to be with the Father in heaven, many came to believe in Him from the powerful testimony of those who knew Him and saw Him alive - many who had nothing to gain and everything to lose. Yet they believed. Our world has been changed forever because of Jesus. Our calendars were set on His time schedule. No man has had greater impact on world history than Jesus.
Jesus is the only hope for eternal life, because Jesus is the Living Hope! He didn’t just live long ago, He lives today. He died on the cross over 2000 years ago, but after three days He rose from death to life and appeared before hundreds of men and women! This is not a fable, but a well-documented fact. Jesus Christ conquered death once and for all, so that all who believe in His name, His power and His sacrifice can be saved from spiritual death and receive eternal life.
Why? Because Jesus is the God-man. He is God in the flesh who came to earth to connect with mankind and make a way for future generations to know Him personally and live with Him eternally.
How do I know it’s true? Because my life is one that has been changed, touched by the amazing presence of the supernatural God. Do you know for sure that it’s true, too?
Knowing God and Receiving His Free Gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ
To be saved, each person must pray personally and sincerely from her own heart directly to the heart of God. She must admit she falls short of perfect in her thoughts, attitudes and behaviors; that only God is perfect and holy; that she believes Jesus was and is God’s perfect Son, who came to be the perfect sacrifice for her imperfections (sin) and make the way for her to commune now and forever with the perfect God. In doing so, she is humbling herself before God, recognizing she is less than He, and acknowledging and welcoming His Lordship of her life. She who believes in her heart will receive in her heart the evidence of the Truth, the living presence of the Holy Spirit of God.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. – Romans 3:23
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. – 2 Corinthians 5:21
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 6:23 For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. – John 3:16 If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. – Romans 10:9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. – Ephesians 2:8-9 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory. – Ephesians 1:13-14
A Simple Prayer
Dear God, I know I am not perfect; I am a sinner. You are perfect; you are God! I want to know you and be in a real relationship with you, and I understand that my sins keep me separated from your holiness. I believe that Jesus was the perfect God-man who did not sin, who came to take my sins away by dying on the cross and rising from death to life.
I want to rise from spiritual death to new life today. I’m sorry for my many sins. I need Jesus and I trust Him as my Lord and my Savior. Please forgive me and accept me as your child. Send your Holy Spirit to live in my heart, help me through life, and remind me of your promise of salvation.
Thank you for hearing my prayer. Thank you for loving me and giving me the free gift of eternal life in heaven with you. Amen.
